Mrs. Walker, a retired educator for the Gainesville City School System for 38 years, mothered more than 100 foster children in her home. She was a business notable and a private supporter of local ministries. In her youth, she traveled the United States and Canada singing gospel music with Bishop K.H. Burruss. Fralil, was affectionately known as Auntie to her second generation family, Little Mama by her extended family, and Mother Walker to her beloved community, national/global church family and friends.
Mother Walker is survived by her brother, Micah Carter (Marsha) of Los Angeles, CA.; three children, Mrs. Andre Cheek-Castleberry (Andre), Mr. Andrew P. Cheek Jr. (Angel), and Mrs. Adondra Little (Matthew), grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing, Friday, January 22, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 23, noon to 4:00 p.m., at Mt. Calvary Church of God Holiness, 682 E.E. Butler Parkway, Gainesville, Ga.30501. Private family viewing, January 23, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 24, 2:30 p.m., at Free Chapel Worship Center, 3001 McEver Road, Gainesville, Georgia. Internment, Alta Vista Cemetery, 521 Jones St, Gainesville.
Family and friends assemble at 1879 Calvary Dr., Gainesville at 1:30 p.m.
