John Q. Hall Jr., age 79, of Cumming, GA passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021.  John was a long-time resident of Forsyth County.  Born and raised in Eastpoint Atlanta, he moved to Cumming to raise his young family.  John was a strong Christian man; he was very active with First Baptist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher and deacon.  He enjoyed serving in Tres Dias Christian movement for more than thirty years.  Later John enjoyed his many friends at Freedom Tabernacle.

John was an avid basketball player, playing all the way into his 60’s before trading in his high-tops for some walking shoes.  He enjoyed hiking and walking in many of the Forsyth County parks.

John is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Diane Hight Hall and his oldest daughter Tammy Hall.

John is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cheryl Hall Wright and Colonel Joshua Wright (Cumming); grandchildren Mitchell, Sydney Grace and Hannah Wright and Tristan Sheffield; his niece and nephew Lisa Burnette (Savannah), Tommy Burnette (London, UK), JP and Kelli Bell (Hiram) and many other loving relatives and friends.
