Mrs. Sylvia Johanna Klingaman Age 78, of Dahlonega, GA. Passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
She was born in Albany, N.Y. to the late Harry and Frances Gordon. Sylvia spent most of her life as a Navy wife and mother raising her family as her husband served in the U.S. Navy. This may be the reason she loved the ocean and was happiest collecting shells on the beach.
Sylvia also loved church and being with her husband Harold “Skip” Klingaman at any event with music. She had a deep love for praise and worshiped her husband, children, and grands. Sylvia is preceded in death by her Sisters, Victory and Linda Gordon, her husband “Skip” Klingaman. She is survived by her children Adria McCormack of Dahlonega, Jeffery (Pamela) Kemp of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Bryan (Wanda) Kemp of Melbourne, Florida, sister Norma Ball of Florida, grandchildren, Sean, Timothy, Shannon and Joseph McCormack of Dahlonega, Tiffany (John) Kirkland, Daniel Kemp of Florida, great grand children Kadience McCormack and Max and Ivy Mires.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Dahlonega Funeral Home with a funeral service starting at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Tommy Panter officiating.
