Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Laquila Lee Sosbee Farmer, age 78 of Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community) who entered into rest Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Mrs. Farmer was born in Oconee County, Georgia a daughter of the late William Carroll Sosbee and the late Bertie Lee Moore Sosbee, was a member of Bogart United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Suvivors include her husband, Walter Kenneth “Buddy” Farmer of Athens. Son, Michael David Farmer of Jacksonville, daughter, Barbara Lee Dickson of Royston, son, Walter Kenneth Farmer, Jr. of Athens, sister, Sandra Carol Roberts of Winder. Seven grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021 from the Bogart United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joe Huff officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside. Those attending should please wear a protective mask and observe safe social distancing due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.
