Gloria Cunningham Smith

Gloria Cunningham Smith, age 69, or Grovetown, GA and formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on January 16, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Cunningham, son Lonnie Bailey, Jr.  She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Glenn Edward Smith, Grovetown, GA; children, Freita (Jeffrey) Patten, Augusta, GA, Dion Bailey, San Diego, CA, Suzette Bailey, Austell, GA,  Jeremie (Michelle) Bailey, Lawrenceville, GA; mother, Zelma Cantrell Cunningham, Buford, GA; brother, Walter Cunningham, Jr., Buford, GA, James Cunningham, Buford, GA, Maxwell Cunningham, Buford, GA; sister, Kathleen Fortson, Buford, GA; host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Smith was born January 5, 1952 in Buford, GA. at Hutchins Memorial Hospital.  She graduated in 1969 from Greenard Watson High School in Buford, GA.  Mrs. Smith was employed at Buford General Hospital in nursing.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Loganville, GA and was a former member of Union Baptist Church in Buford, GA for a long time.  The family will have a Public Wake on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.  A Private Family Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Smith, Pastor Gwen Bennett, Minister Barbara Hinton and Pastor Gregory Marshall officiating.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA.
