Dorothy Williams Martin

Mrs. Dorothy Williams Martin, age 92, of Buford, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Martin; parents, Henry and Cora Pirkle Williams; sisters, Lois Cross, Ailine Williams, Lucile Cleghorn; and brothers, Barry Williams, Edgar Williams, Sr., Spurgeon Williams, Lindsey Williams. She is survived by her children, Cathy Sims Payne, Dacula, GA, Stanley (Joyce) Martin, Maysville, GA, Melba (Edward) Brundrick, Lawrenceville, GA, Melinda (Stanley) Ewing, Gainesville, GA, Pam (Bob) Weir, Covington, GA, Mike (Debra) Martin, Maysville, GA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ernestine Duncan Williams, Oakwood, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Martin was born September 26, 1928 in Buford, GA. She was a 1947 graduate of Flowery Branch High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Community Baptist Church in Buford, GA. A public graveside service for Dorothy Williams Martin will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Friendship Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA with Rev. Ted Williams officiating. A private family viewing will be held on prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
