Sena Chris Wood

Mrs. Sena Chrisanna Wood was born September 29, 1936 to the late Oscelene Moon and the late Lodgin Williamson. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lonnie Wood of 68 years; daughter, Crystal Wood; and sons, Kenny, Harry and Larry Wood.

At an early age, Mrs. Wood gave her life to Christ and faithfully attended Hurricane Grove Baptist Church. Her early morning routines began with a cup of coffee, a phone call with one of her children, cleaning and listening to the Canon Spirituals. The love of laughter and family brought her so much joy. Mrs. Sena embodied Love; to know her was to truly know Love.

She will forever be cherished through memories and good times by those left behind includes sons, James (Patricia) Wood and Rodrick (Kim) Wood; daughters, Cynthia (Charlie) Gaither, Linda (Melvin) Davis, and Lavert (Robert) Elder; 38 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday January 22, 2021 at 2pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery, Commerce.

Viewing will be Thursday January 21, 2021 from 2pm-7pm.
