Mr. Monroe Garrett, age 87, of Suches, Georgia went to be with Jesus on Friday, January 15, 2021.
Monroe was a simple man with a kind spirit and a fierce love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Lillian Lovell (1950-1998); his wife of 17 years, Evelyn Wilson (2003-2020); and siblings, JW Garrett, Lillian Cain, and Grovie Warren, all of Suches.
He is survived by his daughter Carol (Ric) Parks of Gainseville, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Larry Page of Gainesville, GA, Mathew and Pearl Parks of Mechanicsburg, PA; great-grandchildren, Gabe Page, Garrett Page, Griffin Page, Zion Parks, and Indie Parks; and siblings, Cline Garrett of Suches, and Napper Moose of Dahlonega. In addition, he is also survived by the family of his second wife, Angie and Terry Cash, Keith and Shelley Wilson, Kristin and Randy Fuller, Dylan and Laura Cash, Eli and Jessie Cash, Caiden Cash, Anna Kate Wilson,Tyler Wilson, Millee Cash, Carder Perry, Cohen Fuller, Waylan Cash, and Sawyer Cash.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, January 18, 2021 in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Ric Parks and the Rev. Matthew Parks will officiate. A private interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
