Bobby Webb

Bobby Webb, age 83 of Clarkesville passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021.

He was born in Rabun County, Georgia, on January 28, 1937.  He was the son of the late Allie and May Webb of Clarkesville.  He was self-employed doing what he enjoyed, buying and selling cars and building houses most of his career.  He enjoyed golf and joins several of his golfing buddies in heaven.  He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 45 years where he served on the building and grounds committee for many years.  He also served on the Clarkesville City Council from 1992 to 2009. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Rebecca Anderson Webb, his parents and six brothers and sisters – Carl, Charlie, Joe, Allie May, Louise and Betty.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Adams Goss; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Horton of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Holsonback of Clarkesville.  Grandchildren, Tyler Holsonback of Atlanta; Ryan (Amy) Holsonback of Clarkesville; Jenna Horton of Decatur; Chase Horton of Charlotte.  Sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Lucius Edmondson of McDonough.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to be made to the Building Fund, Bethlehem Baptist Church, P. O. Box 488, Clarkesville, GA 30523. A private graveside service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
