Joan Henson Jones age 76 of Gainesville entered heaven Thursday January 14, 2021 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Joan was born February 1, 1944 in Gainesville to the late John Henry & Sara Effie Gilstrap Henson. She was retired from Walmart, but most recently was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Gainesville & was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Henson.
Survivors include, sons, Ronnie (Cynthia) Jones, Brad (Tiffany)Jones & Michael (Christy) Jones; daughter, Becky (Nathan) Hudgins; grandchildren, Chris Jones, Nick Jones, Ryan Jones, Steven Jones, Levi Jones & Emily Hudgins; great grandchildren, Lilith Jones, Lola Jones, Weslynn Jones & Eleanor Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 18, 2021 at the Chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Taylor & Rev. Boone Strickland officiating. Burial will be in New Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Sunday January 17, 2021 at the funeral home.
