Emma Lou Edge

Emma Lou Edge, age 97, of Gainesville died on January 12, 2021.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 15, 2020, at W. R. Strickland & Sons Chapel, Clermont, Ga. Interment will follow the service in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Ed Chambers will officiate the service.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm before the service.

Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by her husband Fred Edge; her parents William Gearin and Anna Bell Edge Gearin; and her Children Freddy Edge and Susan Edge Presley.

She is survived by her brother J.C. Gearin; grandchildren, Donald (Lisa) Chambers of Gainesville, Tim (Kim) Chambers of Dahlonega, Tonya Chambers Walker of Dawsonville, Jerry Presley of Gainesville, and Charles Presley of Gainesville.  Mrs. Edge is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Shawn Chambers, Zach Hook, Ashley Chambers, Brittany Chambers, and Hunter Chambers; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a special niece Tina Sanchez.
