Thelma Lorene Shipwash

The family of Thelma Lorene Shipwash of Gainesville, GA is saddened to announce her passing on January 11, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Alta Vista Cemetery.  Rev. Josh Ivey will officiate.  The family will friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: daughter, Susan Moon & son-in-law, James Moon; daughter, Polly Pressley, and daughter, Rose Ingalsbe & son-in-law, JR Ingalsbe; grandchildren, Angela Noles, Jennifer Sanders, Jessica Sanders (Jessie), Amanda Swaim, and Johnny Sanders (JJ); 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous other family members and friends; and her loving sister, Ann Simms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas A. and Dorothy E. George; brother, Bill George, brother, Douglas George; brother, Terry George; sister, Mary Moore; sister, Brenda (Pud) Major; and daughter, Jennifer Pressley.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the New Horizons North for their care and compassion as well as her loving friend Viola Jordan.
