Reverend Willard Fuller

Obituary Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2021

Reverend Willard Fuller, 89, of Murrayville passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer. Willard announced his calling to preach on November 29, 1964 at Murrayville Baptist Church and was ordained on November 14, 1970. He then went on to pastor multiple churches across North Georgia including The Valley Church, Straightway Baptist, Murrayville Baptist and Canaan Baptist. He was a founding member of Murrayville Baptist and helped to found Straightway Baptist Church. Willard had a love for yard work and antique cars.

Willard is preceded in death by his son Bobby Fuller; parents, Will and Mary Fannie (Ash) Fuller; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will and Willie Jones. Willard was the last remaining sibling of 14 children. 

Willard is survived by his faithful wife of 70 years in May, Clara Nell of Murrayville; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn, Jack and Nancy, Linda, Rex and Terrie; grandchildren, Spence and Tracy, Jason and Julie, Leslie and Shelli, Lance and Gretchen, Weston and Leann, Rebecca, Lydia, Will and Carmen and Larissa; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Kaylee, Seth, Cassidy, Joseph, Lacey, Jim Sidney, Bethany, Lily, Lesley Anne, Eli, Sarah, Emmett, Fern, Wes, Emily, Joshua, Caroline, Colby, Aliah, Judd, Allie, Ellie, Annie, Waylon and Walt.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:30 AM for immediate family only in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Grandsons the Rev. Spence, the Rev. Jason, the Rev. Leslie, the Rev. Lance and the Rev. Will Fuller will officiate the services. Interment will be at 1:00 PM at Murrayville Baptist Church. Those wishing to attend are asked to please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 – "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
