Born in Fort Supply, Oklahoma on August 7, 1948, son of late Glen E. Keeton and Virginia Keeton. Jimmy Dean Dailing passed away peacefully in the presence of loving family at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on January 6th, 2021 in his 72nd year.
Jimmy was a beloved husband to the love of his life, Ora of Gainesville, GA for 47 years.
He will be remembered as a devoted loving father by eldest son Michael Keeton of Oakwood, GA, middle son Jason and his wife Courtney of Gainesville, GA, and his youngest son Cory and his wife Paula of Bethlehem, GA. Jimmy’s life was enriched by 10 grandchildren Alyssa, Sabien, Cheyenne, Logan, Hunter, Savannah, Jason Wesley, Michael, Rebekah, Jaxon and one great grandchild Wynter.
He is survived by his brothers Glen Keeton and wife Cathy of Weatherford, TX and Jackie Keeton and his wife Jane of Woodward OK. Nieces and nephews Johnny, Stacey, Marsha, Diana, Daniel, Kimberly, Kathy and Jennifer. Many others will remember Jimmy fondly.
Jimmy grew up in the Imperial Valley in California on the Elmore Desert Ranch. He attended West Moreland elementary and middle school and graduated from Brawley Union High school in 1966. After graduation he attended Imperial Valley College from 1966 to 1968. In 1968 he joined the Army, serving 2 years active duty and 5 years active reserve.
At Jimmy’s request he will have a graveside ceremony. He will be laid to rest on January 18th at 11am, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
