Ethel Pierce

Mrs. Ethel Pierce, 89, of Gainesville, GA passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.

A private funeral service for family will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Rogers, Rev. Darryl Womack and Rev. Jimmy Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A private visitation for family will be on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on February 16, 1931 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Cain Smallwood. She was retired from the Healthcare Industry and a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pierce; grandsons, Kevin Carder, Randy Pierce and Craig Pierce.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughter and son in law, Brenda and Jerry Carder of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Steve and Gail Pierce of Dahlonega, Phillip and Miriam Pierce of Braselton, Stanley and Peggy Pierce of Gainesville; grandchildren, Latrelle McHugh of Gainesville, Jerry D. Carder of Gainesville, Chad Carder of Gainesville. Sherri Trammell of Dahlonega, Clark Pierce of Dahlonega, Rhonda Christy of Athens, Kelly Johnson of Crossville, TN; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lillie Newell of Flowery Branch and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
