William (Bill) Jerauld Fox, Cumming GA, formerly of Frederick, MD, died January 7, 2021. He was born August 8, 1931 and was the son of the late David R. Fox and Mildred E. Droneburg Fox. He grew up in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School, class of 1950. He had fond memories of playing the drums in the high school band and orchestra. Bill also played in the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corp. He was active in the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He served in the US Army in the Corp of Engineers and was deployed to Korea during the Korean War. He was an employee of PEPCO for 30 years in the Motor Vehicle Department. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Ralph, sisters Mabel Anderson and Francis Schultz. He is survived by his former wife, Jane Skellchock, daughter, Jean Fox Maggio, and son Billy Fox and his wife Karen, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill traveled the 50 states and enjoyed hiking and camping well into his senior years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Park Foundation (https://www.nationalparks.org)
