Shirley Hollingsworth Battle

Shirley Hollingsworth Battle, age 85, of Bethlehem, GA passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Battle. Mrs. Battle is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Frank O. Battle, Bethlehem; children, Brady and Mary Battle, Hoschton, GA, Kim Battle, Buford, GA, Guy and Sheila Battle, Jefferson, GA, Owen and Julia Battle, Hoschton, GA, Mark Battle, Dacula, GA, Cody and Christy Battle, Sugar Hill, GA, Kim Elise Dobbs, St. George, UT; twenty four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Hardiman, Hoschton, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Battle was born on December 28, 1935 in Atlanta, GA. She was a 1952 graduate of Murphy High School in Atlanta, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Battle was a member of Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church in Dacula, GA.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with David Whitworth officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park South Cemetery in Flowery Branch, GA.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 13, from 5:00 p/m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
