Mr. Joe Patterson Wallis passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Gold City Nursing Home in Dahlonega, GA. Mr. Wallis was born on October 22, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Ira and Annie Wallis.
Mr. Wallis was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Mr. Wallis was an exceptionally talented pianist and organist. He used his talent to serve the Lord and was the pianist and organist for several churches during his lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wallis is preceded in death by his wife, June Satterfield McGinnis Wallis;
daughter, Angela June Wallis; sister, Inez Wallis Westray; brothers, I.L. Wallis and O’neal Wallis.
Mr. Wallis is survived by his children, Christie Wallis (Jim) Downs, Vickie McGinnis, and Ricky (Angie) McGinnis; grandchildren, Valerie (Keith) Shadburn, Bethany (Brian) McCoy, Jodie and Brody Downs; Great Grandchildren, Jake and Avery Shadburn and Bryson and Mason McCoy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Antioch Baptist Church in Cumming, GA on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1:00 with Pastor Travis Bridgeman officiating.
