Roger F. Moore

Mr. Roger F. Moore, age 93, of Jefferson, GA died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Piedmont Athens.  Mr. Moore was born in Carnesville to the late Daniel Oscar and Ida Mae Kay Moore.  He was a member of Jefferson Congregational Holiness Church and retired from Blue Bell.  After retirement, he worked and eventually retired from Little-Ward Funeral Home, where he was the staff pianist.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Ruth Moore; and grandson, Tyler Dunn.

Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter, Laura Bishop of Commerce; sons, Emory Moore of Ashcamp, KY and Johnny Moore of Jefferson; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the funeral service will be private.  A public interment will be held Sunday at 3 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Grey Hill Cemetery.  Anyone attending is asked to wear a mask and social distance.  The family will not be present, but visitation will be from 10 AM to 4 PM, Saturday, January 2.
