Charlotte Louise Brock Grogan

Obituary Date: Tuesday, December 29, 2020

Charlotte Louise Brock Grogan, 92, of Gainesville, died December 29, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  

Born May 15, 1928 to the late Lorena Estelle Boleman Brock and Major Glenn Brock, Sr., she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wilford Grogan, Sr, and siblings Telford Carroll Brock, Marella Brock Tanner, Major Glenn Brock, Jr. Nelda Jean Brock, Mary Donna Brock Miller, Charles William Brock, Horace Russell Brock, and Hiram Jackson (Jack) Brock. 

Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She attended elementary school in Candler, Ga, graduated from Lyman Hall High School, and attended Piedmont College where she played basketball. In addition to being a homemaker, Charlotte was employed by Southern Bell, Georgia Broilers, SE Highway Contracting Company, Shoney’s and retired from HallCo Federal Credit Union.  Charlotte and Kenneth were charter members of and active at Lakewood Baptist Church.  

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Grogan Bullard and son-in-law, Jerry, Toccoa; son, Ken Grogan, Jr.  and daughter-in-law, Edie, Gainesville; sister, Lynda Estelle Allison and her husband, Dan, Gainesville; grandchildren, Trey Snelson and wife, Mary Beth, Hoschton, Ga; Alex Grogan, Denver, Co.; great-grandchildren, Parker Smith Snelson and Alice Snelson of Hoschton, Ga.  

A private immediate family graveside service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to continue Charlotte’s loving legacy may make a contribution to Lakewood Baptist Church Building Fund, 2235 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville is in charge of the arrangements.
