Barbara Abernathy Gaddis

Ms. Barbara Abernathy Gaddis, 80, of Buford, GA, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville Campus.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on November 4, 1940 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Elmer and Eula Lenora Fowler Abernathy. She was retired from Whitehead Die Casting. Ms. Gaddis was a member of McEver Road Church of God of Prophecy. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaddis is preceded in death by her brothers, Winifred Abernathy, Randall Abernathy and sister Lorene Hyde.

Ms. Gaddis is survived by her daughter, Pam Clark of Buford; son and daughter in law, Danny and Stephanie Gaddis of Talmo; granddaughters, Jennifer Young (Chris) of Buford; Danyail Maddox (Bradley) of Gainesville, Brittany Sims of Commerce, Christian Land of Commerce, Emily Gaddis of Talmo; great grandchildren, Blakeley Young, Addie Young, Annalisa Maddox; sisters Ramona Norrell of Gainesville, Sherell Grindle of Braselton, Lavern Poole (Jackie) of Oakwood and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
