Mrs. Ruby Anne Hopwood, age 81, of Flowery Branch passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Northside Hospital – Forsyth.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Self will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopwood was born November 24, 1939 to the late John Clarence & Anna Mae Bales Garrett in Howard, Kansas. A kind and loving wife and mother, she was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church and retired from the Hall County Board of Education, where she was a Bookkeeper.
Mrs. Hopwood is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rev. Stanley Hopwood of Clermont; children, Eddie & Arlene Hopwood of Flowery Branch, Gary Hopwood of Lula, Jeff & Chris Hopwood of Chicopee, Becky & Lynn Yarbrough of Clermont and Stana Hopwood of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Dorothy P. Browder of Gordon, Nebraska; and several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Department of Chicopee Baptist Church, 13 First Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30504.
