Karl Edward Fivecoat, age 65, passed away peacefully in his home December 24, 2020, after battling stage IV pancreatic cancer for the past year.
Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends and family Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Fivecoat was born May 5, 1955. For thirty-eight years, he worked as a technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of copiers and printers, spending a majority of his career with Ricoh, formerly known as Ikon. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was loved by many.
Mr. Fivecoat was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, James Fivecoat; son, James Fivecoat II; and stepson, Hunter Collins.
Karl is survived by his wife, Debra Fivecoat of Gainesville; son, Alan Fivecoat of Dallas, GA; daughter, Ashley Fivecoat of Gainesville; daughter Kaitlynn Shea Fivecoat of Charleston, SC; stepson, Austin Collins of New York, NY; stepdaughter, Kaela Kranendonk of Norcross; stepdaughter, Alissa Hastreiter of Gainesville; mother, Florence Fivecoat of Austell; sister, Jaime Fivecoat of Taylors, SC; grandchildren, Braden, Landon, Aubrey and Kaleigh.
