Miss Quitina MaLaine Helms, 40, of Gainesville passed away December 27, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graham Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31st and Friday, January 1st from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Born on January 2, 1980 in Gainesville, she was an office manager for Best Linen Service. Miss Helms was of the Baptist faith. Miss Helms was preceded in death by her grandparents, Steve and LaVonne Free, Bobby and Mable Wallace and Evonne Helms.
Quitina was the sweetest, loving daughter that anyone could ask for. She loved her family with all of her heart. She was full of life and loved to make others smile. She was our ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. She loved softball and fishing with her mom and dad. She was our Angel from Heaven with a heart of Gold.
Miss Helms is survived by her mother and father, Lesia and Thadd Wallace of Gainesville; brother, Lil Thadd Wallace of Gainesville; biological father, Phil Helms of TX; grandfather, Doug Helms of FL; aunt, Patti Strickland of Gainesville; uncle and aunt, Steve and Donna Free of Gainesville; uncle and aunt, Scotty and Barbie Free of Gainesville; aunt and uncle, Kim and Scott Robertson of Gainesville; uncle and aunt, Rodney and Dawn Free of Gainesville; uncle, Ronald Wallace of Gainesville; uncle and aunt Keith and Tammy Wallace of Cleveland and a number of cousins.
