Dorothy Lee Hughes Allison

Dorothy Lee Hughes Allison, 86 of Gainesville passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Towns County, Mrs. Allison had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Tom and Ruby Souther Hughes.  Mrs. Allison worked for the Owen-Osborne Mill for a number of years and also worked as the church secretary at Sardis Baptist Church.    Mrs. Allison was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Angie and Tom Hiers, Gainesville; son and companion, Mike Allison and Lynn Gilleland; Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Johnny Dean, Gainesville; grandchildren, Kevin and Ashley Allison; Dusty and Samantha Allison; Wendi Allison; Hannah Allison; Tyler Hiers; great grandchildren; Gage Allison; Camdin Crawford; Will "Skippy" Allison and Mason Allison.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church. Pastor Stan Peck and  Rev. James Kanaday will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday December 30, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
