Kenneth L. “Leck” Broome

Mr. Kenneth L. “Leck” Broome, 72, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Born on June 25, 1948 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Toy Lee and Alice Burnett Broome. He was employed with Cargill where he worked in the Maintenance Department. Mr. Broome was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Broome is preceded in death by his brother, Dan Broome.

Mr. Broome is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Buffington Broome of Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Suzanne and Dave Craven of Colorado Springs, CO; Krissi and Joel Farr of Lula; sons and daughters in law, Kenneth and Tammy Broome of Lula; Daniel and Amy Broome of Lula; grandson, Dakota Crumley of Lula; granddaughter, Amanda Craven of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons, Joshua Anderson, Will Broome both of Lula; granddaughter, Haley Anderson of Lula; grandsons, Beau Crumley, R.C. Anderson both of Lula; granddaughter, Katie Broome of Lula; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Anderson of Lula; 

sisters and brother in law, Elaine and Jackie Bruce of Gainesville, Lorraine and Cary Lancaster of Talmo, Sandra and Charles Eubanks of Talmo, Debbie and Howard Eubanks of Talmo; brothers, Roger Lee Broome of Gainesville, Ronnie Lee Broome of Lula, brother and sister in law, Ronald Lee and Mae Broome of Lula; brother, Randy Lee Broome of Talmo; brother and sister in law, James Allen and Carol Broome of Talmo; sister in law, Johnnie Hicks and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be directed to Linda Broome @ United Community Bank in care of Kenneth Broome Memorial to help with overwhelming medical expenses.
