Martha Whelchel Hemphill

Martha Whelchel Hemphill, aged 81, of Clermont, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. A private, family Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Kevin Woody will officiate the service.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at the funeral home from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Cobb and Mary Lou Whelchel.

Martha is survived by her son, Steve (Gretchen) Hemphill; her daughter, Martha Evans Campbell; her sister, Amanda (Larry) Latty; her grandsons, Will Hemphill and Garrett Campbell; and her granddaughter, Ariana Hemphill.

Martha Hemphill was honored for 45 years of service in cardiology with the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Health System. Martha was the first employee in NGHS history to reach this milestone.

Martha was a loving, genuine, and kind person, and a dear friend to so, so many.  There really are not any words that can express what Martha meant to her family and friends.  Martha will be dearly missed.
