Michael Gabriel Galvin

Michael Gabriel Galvin, 76, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on December 18, 2020.

Funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1 pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery.

Mr. Galvin was born on March 30, 1944 in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Ireland and is the son to the late Michael and Johanna Galvin. Michael was the youngest of eleven children. Michael worked for SKF for many years as a Quality Control Engineer both in Flowery Branch and Philadelphia, PA. He was an avid fan of all things Philadelphia sports related especially the Flyers. Mr. Galvin could often be found on his front porch reading a book with his fur babies. Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brothers, James, John, Jerry and Jer and sisters, Eileen, Mary, Nora, Kathleen, and Ann.

Mr. Galvin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Julia “Sheila ” Galvin, his daughter and son-in-law Helena Galvin-Magee and James Magee, his son and daughter-in-law Michael P. and Marlene Galvin all of Flowery Branch; granddaughter Meghan Magee and grandsons Sean Michael Magee, Spencer and Michael C. Galvin all of Flowery Branch; sister Joan White of Ellesmere Port, England; his beloved dogs, Chloe, Buddy and his granddog Flash and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
