Lee Evans Taylor, age 81 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 07, 1939, he was the son of the late George & Edith Taylor. Lee served his country proudly in the United States Army and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He retired after many years as a co-owner with Taylor’s Vinyl & Exteriors, Inc. In his spare time, Lee enjoyed woodworking, gardening, & working on jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, he loved spending precious time with his family. Lee was a faithful member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Pugh; & by his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rupert & Lucy Nicholson Jenkins; brothers-in-law, Donald Jenkins, Ricky Jenkins, & Miles Wilbanks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Jenkins Taylor of Clarkesville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Kim & Terry Smith of Alto, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Jennifer Taylor of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Nicole Taylor & Cole Franklin; Austin & Kensley Allen; Brigette & Ryan Howard; Bliss & Colton Passmore; Katie & R.J. Wilbanks; great-grandchildren, Thor & Liam Franklin; Bennett, Lynnsie, & Lillie Allen; & great-granddaughter on the way, Havyn Howard; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Doris & Homer Free of Clarkesville, GA; Willene & Ray Stewart of Mt. Airy, GA; Linda Wilbanks; Kathy & Bobby Mitchell all of Cornelia, GA; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Jimmie Jenkins; Leon & Diann Jenkins all of Clarkesville, GA; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Hills Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Stancil officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
