Calvin David Williams

Mr. Calvin David Williams, age 78, of Cumming Georgia, passed away Wednesday evening, December 9th, 2020, at his residence.

He was born May 22, 1942, in Henderson County, North Carolina, son of the late Claude Williams and Mary Serena Parker.

As a member of the 82nd Airborne, Dave took pride in his service in the Army as Sergeant.  After his service he returned home to become an air traffic controller.  His love of aviation began at the age of 14.  At an early age, he flew search and rescue over the North Carolina mountains.

He retired from his position as an air traffic controller, returned to school and eventually earned his MBA.  He spent the rest of his career life as a CFO.  Dave Williams was a man who could fix, drive or fly anything.  He was a loving father and husband.  He will be missed.  Dave is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Williams; brother; James F. Williams; sisters; Florence A. Presley and Brenda F. Sanford; son; Samuel D. Williams and his wife Jennifer Williams; daughter; Amanda L. Eubanks and her husband David Eubanks; five grandchildren; Mackenzie, William, Jonathan, Cameron and Macie.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 19th at Ingram Funeral Home, Cumming Georgia.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Dave in a special way may make donations in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
