James Frank Emmett

James Frank Emmett age 86 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

James was born February 11, 1934 in Gainesville to the late Den & Irene Peck Emmett. He worked with the Gainesville Times in the distribution of papers for 30 plus years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lena Sims Emmett; sons, Sonny (Lorrie) Emmett, Benny (Rosalie)Emmett & Lamar Emmett; daughter, Sandra Patterson; sisters, Mary Ann Roberts & Ethel Winters; 10 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 14, 2020 at the Chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
