Harold Grant Robinson Jr.

Obituary Date: Tuesday, December 8, 2020

Mr. Harold Grant Robinson Jr., 58, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his brother; Todd Robinson.

Born Christmas Day 1961, in Ft. Campbell, KY to Harold Sr. & Brenda Robinson, Harold Grant Robinson, Jr began making his ever-lasting impression on this world, first as the safeguard big brother to his siblings Elitha and Todd.

Always the class clown and the life of the party, he spent his glory years running the trains at Opryland in Nashville, TN, which he'd tell you was the best job he ever had. It was here where he'd meet his wife of 35 and best friend of almost 40 years, Cheryl, and started their beautiful life together on June 22, 1985.

Harold's ultimate pride and joy, were his two boys Josh and Chad. Josh, his fellow Georgia Bulldog enthusiast, and Chad, his fellow movie and late night TV buff. Establishing himself as a Biomedical Field Engineer, Harold spent most of his adult life traveling all across the Southeast, easily logging 100,000+ miles a year. Most of the miles would come from traveling out of state, overnight just to catch a youth baseball game, school function, or anniversary dinner.

Knowing Harold, you would never know all the medical hurdles he'd overcome throughout the years. Never wanting attention on himself, he'd rather put a smile on your face or be the ear for your troubles. On December 8th, 2020, Harold finally let his body rest and went to be with his younger brother in Heaven. He will be remembered as an adoring husband, the most selfless father, loyal brother & son, and a hilarious friend to all.

Harold is survived by his wife; Cheryl Robinson of Cumming, Georgia.

Parents; Harold Robinson Sr, (Brenda) of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Children; Josh Robinson (Katie Lane) of Atlanta, Georgia; and Chad Robinson of Cumming, Georgia.

Sister and brother-in-law; Elitha Brassell (Jay) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 10th, 2020 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday, December 11th, 2020 from 10:00am – 2:00pm and from 4:00pm -8:00pm.

Saturday, December 12th, 2020 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 12th, 2020 with Mike Schmid officiating.
