Christine Glover Bennett

Christine Glover Bennett was known to all for her great love of life. Born August 25th,1930, she was lovingly known as Neen. Neen passed away peacefully Friday, December 5, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Bennett, son Charles Bennett, parents Dock and Maude Glover, and her beloved sister Aline Grimes. She is survived by her children Ronnie (Donna) Bennett of Cumming, daughter Deborah (Steve) Hester of Dawsonville, grandchildren Mary Lou (Tim) Martin of Cumming, Jeff (Kaywin) Bennett of Adairsville, Wade (Amy) Bennett of Cumming, Amanda Hester of Belgrade, MT, Tori Hester of Jasper, Richard (Angela) Bennett of Flowery Branch, Zach (Aubrey) Bennett of Cumming. Great grandchildren, Peri Martin, Tyler Bennett, Emily Bennett, Anslee Hester, Jake Martin, Abby Bennett, Jade Bennett, and Charlie Bennett. Great Great Grandchild Lula Bennett. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Neen was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and never met a stranger. She was an active member of Pleasant View Baptist Church for over 90 years. She and Richard were married for 37 years and operated Bennett’s Produce together for 15 years before he passed away. She drove a school bus for Forsyth County Schools for 25 years, then worked part-time at McDonalds and Circle M convenience store. She worked at the Cumming Walmart for the last 19 years, retiring in March of this year. In her late sixties she needed a car to keep up with her busy schedule, so she came home with a Mustang GT. In her seventies she upgraded to a Corvette, and that could barely keep up. We’re just happy she finally stopped getting speeding tickets when she turned 80. She believed in living life to the fullest, and her favorite thing was to spend time going anywhere with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Bagley and Rev. Shad Faulkner officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
