Lavon Hair

Lavon Hair, age 82, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years, Marie Ramey Hair; sister, Jesse Maximick; brother, Henry Hair; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clinton and Birdie Ramey; brothers-in-law, Billy Ramey and Dorsey Stancil. Mr. Hair is survived by his sons, Joel Hair, Lawrenceville, and Mike Hair, Glen Carbon, IL; sisters, Doris Whittington, Cayce, SC and Nadine Purvis, Effingham, S C; sister-in-law, Jean Ramey Stancil, Buford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Hair was born on August 25, 1938 in Barnwell, South Carolina. He graduated from Beaufort High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Hair was a retired Internal Revenue Agent from the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta after twenty-five years of service. He was a AFM (Ancient Free Mason) with Harmony Masonic Lodge #22 in Beaufort, SC. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
