John 'Jager' Mathews

John ‘Jager’ Mathews passed from this life into eternal life on Friday November 27, 2020 at the age 46.

He was born in Omaha, NE on 12/11/1973, the son of Darold Mathews and Nadine Haskins,

Known as “Jager” by many. John was an extraordinary man. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and working hard every day to provide for his beautiful family that he loved so much.

He never met anyone that didn’t instantly call him a friend. He was truly “Larger than life”

John served proudly in the United States Marine Corps as a 1371 – Combat Engineer from 1992-1995 and loved to share stories of his time in the Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Candace Mathews his daughter Valkyrie Mathews; his son Zakk Lierman; his brothers Steve Harlow, Darold Oscar Mathews Jr. and sister Carla Vice; his parents Darold Mathews Sr. and Nadine Haskins; His mother-in-law Josephine Brown; and many Leathernecks around the world.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
