Howard L. Hulsebus

Howard L. Hulsebus, 81, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday December 2, 2020 following a period of declining health.

Born August 7, 1939, Howard had been a resident of Dahlonega for 20 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. where he served as a MP during the 1950s.  Howard spent over 30 years in the printing industry, working all over the U.S. and even overseas.  He began his career as a pressman and worked his way up to become the vice president of a printing company.  A master gardener and talented writer, he was happiest when he was digging in the dirt and sharing his poetry with his community.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Wanda Hulsebus, and siblings, Gaylon, Robert, Larry, Carol, and Marilyn.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Darlene Hulsebus, Dahlonega; daughters, Kathleen Hulsebus, Dawsonville; Jacqueline Cross, Dahlonega, Heather Hulsebus, Dawsonville; sons and daughter in law, Howard Hulsebus, Dawsonville, Ian and Cheryl Hulsebus, Buford; grandchildren, Kevin, Caitlan, Sean, Eli; brothers, Donald Nielsen, Kenny Hulsebus; sister, Delores Simonsen; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home.
