Mary Ramey Glass

Mary Ramey Glass, age 85, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

Mrs. Glass was born on December 25, 1934, in Easley, South Carolina, to the late Sanford and Fronie Ramey.  She was a retired registered nurse at Habersham County Medical Center and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.  Mary loved nature, feeding her birds in her backyard, and working outside in her garden and flowers.  She loved and prayed for her family, friends, and her church family.  Mary loved the Lord.  She is flying high with the Lord Jesus and not struggling anymore.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William “Bill” Glass; granddaughter, Donna Marie Glass; siblings, Hattie Mae Ramey McCall, Helen Ramey Lesley, Cathleen Ramey Harkins, Andrew Ramey, Marion (Bill) Ramey, and Jerry Ramey.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David (Dave) and Debra Glass, Cleveland; grandchildren, David Jr and Marcey Glass, DeAnna and Matt Roberts; great-grandchildren, Tristin Glass, Ashton Glass, Bailey Roberts, and Emily Roberts; sisters, Myrtlene Ramey Suttles, Linda Ramey Sexton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A special thank you to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice group; especially Natasha, who was with us every day, Rebecca, our social worker, and Tiffany, her aid.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Spencer Anderson will officiate.  Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
