Mrs. Sallie Mae Sewell Hayes, age 83 of Charles Hayes Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Henry and Frances Boyd Sewell, she was born July 2, 1937 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was retired from Stephens County Hospital with 30 years of service. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. In addition to her parents

Survivors include her husband of the home, Charles Hayes; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Nathan Echols , Christine Brown and Trenace and Roy Ritchie all of Toccoa and Anita and James Rivers of Lavonia; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister, Nellie Mae Brown of Toledo, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 30, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Bishop Marlon Knox officiating.

The family will receive friend at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from noon until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sallie Mae Sewell Hayes.
