George Robert Wiley

Mr. George Robert Wiley, 96, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 following an extended illness.

Due to the current COVID 19 Pandemic a Private Graveside service will be held for Mr. Wiley in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate.

Born on September 19, 1924 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Albern E and MaeBell Woodall Wiley. He was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Industry and Trade. Mr. Wiley was a veteran of the United States Navy. He proudly served his country during World War II and Korean War. Mr. Wiley was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Mr. Wiley is survived by his wife, Frances Potts Wiley of Gainesville; sons and daughters in law, Stanley P. and Sharon Pass Wiley of Gainesville, Steven and Frances Bishop Wiley of Gainesville; granddaughter, Jordan E. Wiley of Savannah; sisters, Kathleen Sexton of Flowery Branch, MaeBell Lovell of Alto; brothers, Royce Wiley (Velma) of Alto, Elijah Minor Wiley of Alto and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 444, Gainesville, Ga 30503.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
