Maria “Lucita” De Luz Vazquez Serrano, 66, of Gainesville passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral home. Father Hernan Quevedo will officiate. Interment will follow on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Born on February 15, 1954 in Durango, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso Zazquez Barron and the late Teresa Serrano. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Sanchez Galindo (Memo).
Mrs. Lucita is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Sanchez, Lucia Sanchez both of Gainesville; sons, Heriberto (Gordo) Sanchez, Freddy Sanchez both of Gainesville and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Nacida el 15 de febrero de 1954 en Durango, México, era hija del fallecido Alfonso Zazquez Barron y la fallecida Teresa Serrano. Ella era ama de casa y de fe católica.
Además de sus padres, es precedida en la muerte por su esposo, Guillermo Sánchez Galindo (Memo).
A la Sra. Lucita le sobreviven sus hijas, Jacqueline Sanchez, Lucia Sanchez ambas de Gainesville; hijos, Heriberto (Gordo) Sánchez, Freddy Sánchez ambos de Gainesville y una multitud de sobrinas, sobrinos y otros familiares.
