Dorris Latrell Cheek Grantom

Mrs. Dorris Latrell Cheek Grantom, age 75 of Gulley Road, Toccoa passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Jack and Della Ramey Cheek, she was born June 11, 1945 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was employed in Poultry Processing for a number of years. She attended Mud Creek Baptist Church and Currahee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Bryant, by a daughter, Janice Bryant and by three siblings, Bobbie Cheek, Zudie Mae Dalton and Jack Cheek.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Richard Grantom; daughter, Carolyn Bryant and Richard Pitchford of Gainesville; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Velma Cheek and Andrew and Jeanette Cheek both of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2020, 1 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ricky Wade and The Reverend Johnny Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11 O’clock a.m. until the service time. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Interment will be in Wells Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
