Rodney A. “Roddy” Royal

Rodney A. “Roddy” Royal, age 72, of Buford, GA passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Claudia Royal. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Susan Kenney Royal, Buford, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandi and Davon Bryant, Buford, GA, Shelly and Stephen Wilson, Braselton, GA; grandchildren, Hailey, Taylor, Davon, Jr., Spencer, Hannah; brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Jane Royal, Madison, GA; sister, Suzanne Sanders, Duluth, GA; sister-in-law, Tammy Kenney Breightling, McDonough, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Royal was born June 11, 1948 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 1966 graduate of Southwest High School in Atlanta. He attended Atlanta Technical College and served in the National Guard. He was a retired branch manager from Industrial Supply Corporation where he previously owned under the name of Aggregate Company for twenty-one years. He was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. Mr. Royal loved motorcycles and antique muscle cars. He enjoyed going to the beach in Florida and boating on Lake Lanier and loved his family very much. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Sondra Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 27^th and from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28^th at the funeral home.
