Mrs. Martha Anna Emmett Pophom, age 78 of Falls Road, Toccoa passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A daughter of the late William and Irene Peck Emmett, she was born April 21, 1942 in Hall County, Georgia having lived in Toccoa for the past 20 years. She worked in the Poultry Processing Business and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Pophom, Jr. a son, Charles Pophom, granddaughter, Sue Ann Lou and by a grandson, Mark James Pophom.
Survivors include three daughters, Emma Pophom and Marsha Pophom both of Toccoa and Joni Whitfield of Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, Jessie and Misty Pophom of Toccoa; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Baker and Ethel Winters both of Gainesville.
Graveside services will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Toccoa City Cemetery with The Reverend Marvin Brown officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tony Pham, Matthew Whisenant, Anthony Wade, William Truong and Brian Hester.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until time to leave for the service. Interment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Martha Anna Pophom.
