Elizabeth “Beth” Woodruff Benton

Elizabeth “Beth” Woodruff Benton, age 59, of Buford, GA passed away November 15, 2020.   She was preceded in death by her son, Chase Benton;  mother, Louise Bowman; father-in-law, Bruce Benton, Sr.; sister-in-law, Patti Stephenson.  She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bruce Benton, Buford, GA; sons, Travis (Brittany) Benton,  Pendergrass, GA, Miles (Jessica) Benton, Gainesville, GA;  grandchildren, Mackenzie Benton, Pendergrass, GA, Hannah Benton, Pendergrass, GA, Tucker Benton, Gainesville, GA, Peyton Benton, Gainesville, GA; father James “Jim” Woodruff, Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Pam Ragsdale, Chattanooga, TN, Becky Woodruff Cox, Marietta, GA; brother, Rush (Joan) Benton, Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Carolyn B. Bowman, Chattanooga, TN; brother-in-law, Alan Stephenson, Atlanta, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Benton was born August 14, 1961 in Chattanooga, TN.  She was a 1979 graduate of Central High School in Harrison TN and a 1983 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelors Degree.  Mrs. Benton was an administrative assistant with United Pumping Controls, Inc. in Suwanee, GA.  She was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church, Johns Creek, GA.  She enjoyed playing Alta Tennis.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday,  at 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 2020 at Johns Creek Baptist Church Chapel, Johns Creek, GA with Pastor Shaun King of Johns Creek Baptist Church officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Reception following the Service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Johns Creek Baptist Church, P.O. Box 5100, Alpharetta, GA  30023-5100 or Piedmont Brain Center, 2001 Peachtree Rd., Suite 64, Atlanta, GA  30309 in memory of  Elizabeth Benton.
