Edna Faye Bowen

Mrs. Edna Faye Bowen, 79, of Gainesville passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A Visitation to Celebrate Mrs. Bowen’s life will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on September 30, 1941 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Lee and Edna Mae Heaton Gibbs. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Mrs. Bowen was a member of Free Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowen is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Bowen; sisters, Susan Gibbs, Patsy Helton; brothers, Bob Gibbs, Roger Gibbs; nephew, Marvin Dean; and brother in law, Jimmy Smith.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her companion, Albert Grindle of Gainesville; daughters, Amanda Rider (Zane Seale) of Gainesville. Laura Dean (Johnny) of Gainesville; sons, Charles Motes of Gainesville, Shannon Motes of Gainesville, Anthony Rider (Lisa) of Gainesville; daughters, Joy Rider of Gainesville; son, Shane Rider of Gainesville; grandchildren, Anthony, Amber, L. Shane, Marvin, Christal, Joshua; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Dean Smith, Marie Greenway, Katie Parks; brothers, Harold Gibbs, Wayne Gibbs, Daniel Gibbs, Leon Gibbs and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
