Neal Lloyd Thomas

Neal Lloyd Thomas, age 81, of Buford, GA passed away on November 9, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years, Beverly Jones Thomas. Mr. Thomas is survived by children, Ryan Jones, Detroit, MI, Roxane and Bernard Johnson, Buford, Reginal and Rhonda Thomas, Rochester Hill, MI; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Sonia Smith and Linda (Joe) Kelson; brother, Kenneth (Dee) Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Thomas was born on November 26, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA. He was a graduate of the Detroit Public School system. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U S Navy for three and a half years, and he retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA after thirty-seven years. He was a member of U A W Local 10, and a member of Elks Lodge in Michigan. Mr. Thomas attended Poplar Hills Baptist Church in Buford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.
