Mr. Ronald David Noell, 74, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 while in hospice care at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Thankfully, his family was able to be by his side during his final moments on this earth.
Ronnie was born in Norfolk, Virginia but spent most of his adult life in Georgia, most recently living on Lake Lanier in Gainesville. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father and doting grandfather. He was an honest, loyal, hard worker his entire life and instilled those values into his children. The love of his life was his wife, Marilyn Morris Noell. He sacrificed everything for his family, and is often described as just a good, hardworking, simple man. Whenever he met a stranger, he would strike up a friendly conversation - with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Ronnie told great stories of his youth, his time in the army and his important relationship with his brother, Doug, and his foster family, the Fentrices of Norfolk, Virginia. He had a strong connection to animals, especially horses, dogs and ducks, as well as any person in need. Ronnie served his country, his family and his community; he will be greatly missed by his neighbors and his family.
Ronnie was preceded in death in September 2012 by his only son, Robert “Bobby” David Noell and then in January 2016 by the true love of his life, his wife of over 45 years, Marilyn Morris Noell. Ronnie is survived by his two loving daughters, Michelle Noell Graham and Shannon Noell Kersey and his grandchildren: Lindsey Morgan Graham (20), Ansley Nicole Graham (18); Brannon Seth Kersey (18) and Braydon Eliott Kersey (14).
Family and friends will gather at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14 at 2:00pm. 1190 McEver Rd. Gainesville, Georgia.
An outdoor, graveside service will be held in Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery following at 3:00pm.
