Ella Mae Burnette

Ella Mae Burnette, 74, of New Holland, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Griffin will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank McConnell and the late Eleanor McClure McConnell. She was retired from the Gainesville Times and of the Holiness faith.

Mrs. Burnette is survived by her husband, David Burnette of Gainesville; daughter, Nancy Burnette of Flowery Branch; sons, Steven Burnette of Gainesville, Kevin Burnette; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Smith, Wanda Anderson (Skipper), Doris Adamson all of Gainesville; brother, Wayne McConnell of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
