Jerry Lee Mays, Sr.

Jerry Lee Mays, Sr., age 73, of Roswell, Georgia (born in Lake Providence, Louisiana) passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020.  

Mr. Mays was a hard worker and a great friend, always with a smiling face and a kind word. Jerry was a wrestling and kung fu enthusiast, but his love and dedication was always for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Annie May Hawkins. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Mays; his children, Michele Olgltree, Monique(Wayne) Johnson, Jerry, Jr.(Marilyn) Mays, Nerine Watts, Maria-Carmen Mays, Joseph(Melissa) Mays, Duane(Rebecca) Allen, Eugenio Mays, Margarita(Robert) Ochoa, Malcolm Wilburn, Roberto Wilburn and Zianne Mays; siblings Mary Ann Hereford, Virgil Hawkins, Gloria Hickman, Arthur Hawkins and Charles Hawkins; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2020 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Following the service, Family and friends will gather at Nerine’s home (2240 Williams Lane, Cumming, Ga 30028) for refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe page created by the family.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, November 6 from 11:00 AM until service hour.
