Rose Louise Mathis Holbrook, 94, of Cumming Georgia peacefully went to her Heavenly reward Wednesday morning October 28, 2020.
Louise was born to Grady and Della Mathis May 14, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Luther Paris Holbrook and cherished son, Charles Wesley Holbrook.
Louise and Paris were long-time members of Bethelview United Methodist Church.
She retired from Sears Roebuck & Company and was a dedicated employee throughout the years.
To the delight of her children and grandchildren she was able to supply them with beautiful clothing and was very proud of the many discounts she was given at Sears! Chocolate pound cake, Pink congealed salad and Chicken casserole were a few of the foods she loved to cook for her family and were favorites of theirs.
She loved traveling in the U.S. and she and Paris made many trips with their dear friends Becky and Aubrey King.
The most important thing to know about her is that she gave her life to Jesus many years ago and spoke her testimony to her children many times as her health began to fail. It is comforting to know she is now in the presence of God and is enjoying perfect health. Praise God we will see her soon.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jerry and Judy (Sorrells) Holbrook of Cumming, Georgia.
Four grandchildren: Angie (Mark) Holt, Tom (Taaryn) Holbrook, Paul (Tracy) Holbrook and Matthew (Tonya) Holbrook,
17 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
Other extended family members also survive.
Visitation will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 4:00pm to - 8:00pm, and on Saturday, October 31st from 9:00am – 11:00am
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2020 at 11:30am at Bethelview United Methodist Church Cemetery following the visitation.
